Institutional Factors and Academic Staff Job Performance in Public Universities in Southwest, Nigeria

Purpose: This study investigated the relationship between institutional factors and academic staff job performance in Southwest, Nigeria. The examined level of public universities. also extent to which are favourable Universities. specifically such as physical facilities workload.
 Methodology: adopted descriptive research design survey type. population this consisted 12,844 Academic Staff universities sample 90 Heads Departments 900 Multi-stage sampling procedure involving simple random technique, stratified technique proportionate were used selection for study. Two instruments tagged ‘Institutional Factor Questionnaire (IFQ) Job Performance (ASJPQ)’ collect data from respondents.
 Findings: A reliability coefficient 0.78 was obtained Institutional 0.76 Questionnaire. collected analysed using percentages, frequency count, Mean, Standard Deviation Pearson Product Moment Correlation. All hypotheses formulated tested at 0.05 significance. revealed that high It status favourable. variables workload largely determined Universities southwest, Nigeria.
 Unique Contribution Theory, Policy Practice: In view fact Nigeria, owners institutions Southwest Nigeria should prioritize adequate infrastructure improve quality teaching research. Also, personnel be assigned assignments based on competency not overworked.
